Mr. Boison Fiifi Nuamah, (CEO) of Boison MachineryMr. Boison Fiifi Nuamah, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Boison Machinery trading services, has made a passionate appeal to government to lift the two year ban on small scale mining to save the sector from total collapse.
According to Mr. Nuamah, the continual banning of small scale mining could endanger the lives of the youth and workers in mining areas who were employed to work in the sector.
Mr. Nuamah who is a dealer of excavator parts among others, disclosed that in the upper Denkyira East alone the sector employed over 2,000 youth in excavator mechanic and 200 electricians.
He said since the ban on the small scale mining, all those youth have become jobless, while owners of the machines are now cash trapped and cannot pay the machines they bought on credit.
He made a passionate appeal to government to lift the ban in order to get the youth back to work, which he said could save them from all kinds of social vices like armed robbery and prostitution to guarantee them better future to become responsible citizens and contribute their quota to the development of the country.
