A multi-national non-governmental organization (NGO), Edusei Foundation, has made a donation to the Kumasi Children’s Home with a promise to continue to support the children to improve their health and physical well being.
Items donated were gallons of cooking oil, bags of rice, boxes of key soap biscuits, boxes of kalypo drinks, toilet rolls, cartons of milk, bags of sugar, tins of tomato paste and cartons of fish worth GH¢12,000.00.
Making the presentation, Dr. Kwame Bawuah Edusei said apart from a clinic the foundation has built for the Home, this is also another support for the foundation to see to the upkeep of these unfortunate children.
According to him, he and his wife have been visiting the home on numerous occasions to make donations because they have the welfare of the children at heart.
Madam Mabel Amponsah, the Home Manageress who received the items thanked Dr. & Mrs. Edusei for the kind gesture and said this is not the first time the Foundation has come to donate to the Home.
Government, she said, is doing all it can to support the children but appealed to other philanthropists to try as much as possible to emulate the shining example of Edusei Foundation.
According to her, the problem facing the third world countries is numerous and what is important is to help by bringing the children up and educate them to become useful citizens.
