Leader and founder of All People’s Congress, Dr. Hassan Ayariga has stated that the country is going through so much hardship since President Nana Akufo-Addo took over the reins of government.
According to him, he fully supports what Mr. Gabby Asare Otchere Darko wrote on his facebook wall and Twitter handle on Friday, September 7, 2018.
Otchere Darko, according to Dr. Ayariga stated, “THERE is hardship, there is unemployment, and, it is fair to say that majority of our people are struggling to make ends meet. The typical woes of a developing country that has been recklessly managed. But, it must also be made clear that there is a clear sense of direction on not only where the Akufo-Addo government wants to go-but also where it is taking Ghana to.”
Dr. Hassan Ayaiga noted that the fact that Gabby who is a top-notch member of the NPP Government and a senior staffer at the Presidency has come to terms with the hardship Ghanaians are going through under President Akufo-Addo, is a clear indication that the President has failed.
“When the fish comes out of the water to announce the death of the crocodile, who are we to deny? Gabby is a leading member of this government, you know!”
Dr. Hassan Ayariga said these at a press conference to address pertinent issues confronting the country.
According to him, it is a fact that the current economic hardship in the country is the first of its kind and for that matter unprecedented.
On the fluctuating exchange rate, Dr. Ayariga observed that the dollar now has a mind of its own and noted that Dr. Bawumia’s theory of chew and pour is good for examination but very bad for the world of practice.
The free SHS, the APC leader said, needs a national dialogue and questioned President Akufo-Addo what he is doing about the 200 Community Day Senior High Schools that former President Mahama imitated.
The restoration of the trainee nurses allowance, according to Dr. Hassan Ayariga, has come with a reduction of GH¢60 each with a year accumulated arrears, which is still pending.
He disclosed that China is using strategy to take over African countries and that Ghana will be the next to enter into a reckless agreement with China, as President Akufo-Addo has started negotiating a 100 year bond agreement.
On the matter of the National Cathedral, Dr. Ayariga pointed out that there is so much unemployment in the country and therefore it is not a major concern to the people of Ghana.
The collapse of several banks in recent time in the country, he noted, is not a result of act of lawlessness of the banks but rather, the act of lawlessness on the part of President Akufo-Addo and his NPP Government and the gross political incompetence of his appointees.
