StarTimes has introduced “Adepa TV” to broadcast Ghanaian Movies, Ghanaian Sports and Twi programmes in High definition.
Adepa TV went online on the 1st of September, 2018 with interesting Kumawood titles that has had their customer care lines beeping for more. Adepa TV is available on both the StarTimes decoder and the app.
At the launch of StarTimes “Adepa Channel”, the Head of Marketing, Akofa Djankui, disclosed that StarTimes launched its services in Ghana in October2016 with the goal of providing affordable pay-tv service for everyone.
“For a long time in Ghana, Pay TV was reserved for the rich in society until the coming into the market of StarTimes with its affordable packages for Ghanaians”.
StarTimes’ entry into the Ghanaian market, Akofa Djankui said, has created employment, opened the market and created competition for consumers to have a choice and enjoy the competitive effect.
“Harnessing the power of football as a unifying force and the importance of the sport to Ghanaians, we signed a ground-breaking media agreement with Ghana Football Association, vowing to promote the Ghana Premier League in sub-Sahara Africa and help in the infrastructural development of the game.”
The impact of StarTimes partnership with Ghana football over the years, according to Akofa, has been enormous and cannot be over emphasized.
“StarTimes’ commitment to Ghana transcends our Pay-Tv Operations and Sports. We are also very much engaged in other activities that supports the general wellbeing of Ghanaians”.
She said the newest addition, Adepa TV, is a country specific channel for Ghanaians.
Akofa Djankui pledged that StarTimes will continue to work with the film industry in the country, acquire more local content and possibly commission filmmakers to produce specific content for Adepa.
