The Greater Accra Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) has honoured the MP for Ablekuma South Constituency, Hon. Dr. Alfred Okoe, Vanderpuije for his contribution and promotion of health service system in Accra and the country in general.
Presenting a citation to Dr. Okoe Vanderpuije, the Greater Accra Regional Chairperson of GRNMA, Madam Margaret O. Yeboah said the Association has had a long standing relationship with the MP due to the continued support he had offered them.
She averred that the former Mayor has been a father and everything to the Association and never failed them anytime they invited him to their programmes.
The character of Dr. Okoe Vanderpuije in relation to people, the Chairperson of GRNMA said, led to him becoming the MP for Ablekuma South and promised their commitment to also recognize him anytime and anyday.
Hon. Okoe Vanderpuije expressed his gratitude to the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association for the honour done him and stressed that he has never regretted responding to their calls.
He noted that the contribution of nurses as far as healthcare delivery in the country is concerned cannot be underestimated because they are needed by everyone, adding that they encounter a lot of challenges at their workplaces.
Other personalities at the event were the Greater Accra 1st Vice Chairperson of GRNMA, Ms. Emelia Okai, Assistant Secretary of Greater Accra, Haphsheiter Yahaya and two of Hon. Vanderpuije’s aids.
